Ok, here are all the rules and specifics written out for everyone for our fanfiction fanart contest.

1. All art must be of a Twilight fanfiction, not the canon (this can be smudged for AUs that overlap)

2. Any kind of drawing/painting/etc or photo manipulation is acceptable. No fanvids or anything like that, though.

3. It does not have to be a "banner" for a story. You can make them any size, any shape, any theme as long as they are PG13 and can fit as an attachment to an email. We will take anything from icons to wallpapers, from portraits to collages. Anything!

4. All entries must be sent to temptationtwilight@gmail.com by August 10th, with "Fanart Contest" in the subject line.

5. Include the name of the story that inspired the art, and the name of the author of that story.

Leave any questions in the comments and I will answer them for you.

Also, you can enter as many times as you like, we just ask that you send each entry in its own email, and let us what story its based on and who the author of that story is.

During episode 14, which will be out...sometime..., I mention that, in an effort to keep people guessing about who is the winner of the Audio Fanfiction Contest, I am going to be taking the poll down early and unexpectedly. There will be no warning, and it will happen sometime before the poll is closed.

So get those votes in while you can!

Hey everyone, I just wanted to post a quick reminder that entries for our audio fanfiction contest are due in tomorrow (March 31st) by midnight PST. We are overwhelmingly surprised and happy with the response we've gotten and I can't wait to share the awesome work everyone has done with...well...everyone.

Meanwhile, episode 12 has been recorded and will hopefully be out soon. It is my last week of school, so I'm a little busy. I'm aiming for Wednesday, though.

While recording we forgot to mention that, along with a fun guest host next week, our main discussion will be on slash fic (can you guess who picked out that topic?) and if you like you can comment here or email us with and questions or topics you'd like us to include in that discussion.

A listener email us with some questions about the contest and I thought I would post the answer's here in case others were wondering.

Q. Can we submit multiple entries?
A. Yes. We will be picking a judges pick as well as a winner based on votes so if you enter twice you are only eligible for one win. So, if you get the most votes your other one will not get judges pick.

Q. Can we read something of our own?
A. I don't see why not.

Q Can we collaborate?
A. I'm going to say no for this one. If the contest goes well we will do another similar one later specifically for collaborations.

As you've heard on the recent Temptation episodes we are hosting our first ever listener contest! Yay! In this contest we are asking people to record themselves reading an excerpt from their favourite fanfiction (or one that they think works well with being read out loud) and send it in to us. We will then play all of the entries in an episode, put a poll up here on the website and you will get to vote for your favourite. We may also pick a judges favourite and have two winners. We're not quite sure yet. Probably though.

Here are the rules, please make sure to read them all if you are in violation (that sounds so serious) your entry will not be aired on the podcast.

• All entries must be sent into temptationtwilight@gmail.com
  
• All entries must be received by midnight PST on March 31st.
• Please have "Audio Fanfiction Contest" in the sybject line of any entries emailed to us.
• All entries must be under five minutes.
• In the body of the email you must include the name of the fanfiction, the author of the fanfiction, a link to the story, and short blurb on why you chose it.
• The section you read must be rated PG13 or lower but the fic itself can be rated anything you like.

The hosts have recorded four example pieces that will on the end of episode ten. And please remember that we are interested in your performance, in how you translate the written word to the spoken word. Keep this in mind when choosing what section to read and show off your talents.

So, we recorded an awesome episode but, once again, Audacity hates Claire. I'm also very busy at school this week so we aren't quite sure when this episode is going to be out. Sorry for the delay.

Also, our live show with limona (Christina) and withthevampsofcourse (Kristen) is scheduled for 6:30 PST on Saturday February 28th. It will be taking place on Ustream, our page can be found here
If it so happens that we cannot figure out how to use Ustream (can you feel the professionalism we have?) we may keep voting up for another week while we do our best to figure it out.

But, I think everything will be fine and the show will go off, more or less, as planned. Make sure to tune in as we will be takingyour questions from the chat window. Plus, you'll get to chat with other awesome ...er...Twilight Fanfiction People. We need a name. Or something.

And, as detailed in the upcoming episode, we are hosting our very first contest! Yay!
I will make a more detailed post with all of the rules and dates and such involved after the episode is out, but just so you can start thinking about what you are going to do, I thought I'd mention is briefly now.

The Audio Fanfiction Contest!

Pick your favourite part of your favourite Twilight Fanfiction story (as long as it is rated PG-13 or lower) and record yourself reading it. Send it us in an email with "Audio Fanfiction Contest" in the subject line. In an upcoming episode we will play all the submissions (so, you know, it would be great if we got a bunch) and you, the listener, will get to vote for your favourites! The winner will get to come on an episode.

We're really excited about this contest and are eagerly looking forward to hearing your readings. And I just wanted to mention that if we've invited you on an episode, you aren't eligible to win this contest. If you want to do it, you're welcome to...but you can't win. This includes, but is not limited to, any and all admin at The Lazy Yet Discerning Ficster (seriously, you're like our, mostly, more mature, possibly older, sibling. Any of you is welcome any time), wtvoc, limona, Halojones, etc.

We may, or may not, think up something for second and third place.
